ZitatDiese Aussage halte ich für puren Blödsinn.
Würde mich interessieren, wie sie das begründen?!Ich füttere weiter Fisch und gut ist.

Sorry. Es war Juliette de Bairacli Levy ("The complete herbal book for the dog", Kapitel: Diet for dogs - Fish, S. 31) ...hab es grad mal nachgeschlagen. Und so schlimm hört es sich doch nicht an:
ZitatFish is not a recommended canine food. It is too watery and bloodless for the carnivores. However, some breeds of dogs, especially the Portuguese water spaniels, who catch fish for themselves, and some species of Arctic dogs, get almost a mono-diet of fish an flourish on such diet. But they will be obtaining their fish sea- or river -fresh an therefore the flesh is supple and easily digested. The strong, healthy natives of many islands of the South Seas, spear an eat raw, sea-fresh fish. Fish many hours old must be treated the same way as advised for rabbits and poultry, that ist, scalded well with
water to remove the unnatural stiffering of the flesh.
Mackerel an herring are the best fish for canine diet, being extra rich in fats (often lacking in canine diet), nerve, vitamin B and vital minerals. The innards should always be fed, only the heards discarded. A sprinkle of laked oats is healthful with such rich fish. It can be fed once ore twice a week as a change from raw meat. Canned tuna fish is nutritious, its only preservatives are salt an oil.
Und hurra! Überraschung: genau die Fischsorten, die am aussterben sind, sind sowieso nicht gut für den Hund.
Ich werde weiter Hering füttern.

PS. Gutes Taurin ist auch in Fisch!
